What is your strategy for dealing with desire discrepancy (when one partner wants more or less sex than the other)?

One lady I read about says that neither she nor her man is allowed to say no to the other. They must at least let the other person attempt to get them in the mood through teasing, touching, etc... If they aren't in the mood for sex, they say something similar to, "I'm not really in the mood right now. Convince me." That really works for them.

Is desire discrepancy a problem for you?
How do you handle it?

We have a similar issue....so my solution is to suggest that I get a boyfriend to take up his slack:D

We are still deliberating whether this is a viable resolution to my dilemma;)

That would certainly solve the problem! That's one way I didn't even consider. :)

I've also suggested a girlfriend for my guy :)

I think the teasing, touching would be a good idea, though.

Im with Lilith....So far the suggestion doesnt fly. So now I just take my meds and resolved never to want sex anymore. Lets see how long I can hold out. 3 Days is my record.... :o

I think I know how we could kill two birds with one stone.....;)

Personally my wife and I have never been able to find an answer to this problem. My urges are 3-4 times a week. Hers once every 4-6 weeks.
I guess that means we both lose

I like the "convince me" principle.

.~~but I am *always* convincable ~~

Of course, the boyfriend thing works too.
