Talking

I wasn't going to say anything, but this reminds me of the Red Sox
baseball team.My wife&one s-i-l are a BIG fan of theirs. They always say-"Wait until next year!"The last year that the Red Sox won the pennant was 1985!That may be like comparing apples&
oranges.but that's what it reminds me of. Irish
P.S.My favorite football player was John Elway. The Broncos were in the Super Bowl many times, but how many years was it before
they finally won it?

Well, it IS over..................for this year.

I won't make excuses. The Wings came up against a young, eager and extremely HOT goalie, in Giguere. It happens.
They didn't play like "THE WINGS", and The Ducks beat them fair and square.

But like Cabrylla said....unlike some of the teams that will be elminated along the way, we can say with a straight face, and mean it....Wait Until Next Year

Now that my Wings are out of it, I'll be rooting for St. Louis. They have the goalie that Detroit NEVER should have traded, in my opinion. They have OZZIE!! I hope Ozzie shows them all what he's made of and goes all the way to the Cup!!!

So as much as it kills me to say it,

GO BLUES!!!!!

SS

P.S. Thanks for the nice words about the Wings, Aqua. (But I just CAN'T root for the Av's......hehe I'm sure you understand )

The Leafs are actually having an OK game right now. If they don't win tonight, they're done. Philly has really outplayed them this series.

Unfortunately, the Caps have choked again in the first round. I guess they'd rather play golf than hockey.

Well, the Leafs pulled out all the stops last night and deserved to win it. We'll see how they play on Philly's turf tonight.

Sorry Steph, but the boys from Philly showed up to play tonight. This was the hardest fought playoff series I have ever seen. I have gained a new respect for the Leafs.

I was at work and only got to see a bit of the first period but, judging from the score, it would appear the Leafs *didn't* show up for that game!

Philly outplayed them pretty much the entire series. They deserved to win.

Well SS, can I join you in the "Guess we'll have to wait 'til next year" club? AVS blew a 3-1 series lead and are out of it now...

Sure you can join, Aqua hon.......Who'da thunk it, eh? Detroit, Colorado, and St. Louis all eliminated in the first round? I think this will only serve to make them all much hungrier next year.
I wonder if CuJo will still be with the Wings come September?

I lived in Ottawa for two years and saw my only NHL game there so I'll be rooting for Ottawa.

Go Sens Go!

Fair enough,I know a lot of Leaf fans dont care for the Sens. This should be a good series.

I've never been a Leafs fan per se . . . I'm in a tough situation - I'm living in a crazy hockey city and I kinda support them . . . I haven't been a mad fan since the '90s with the Habs, then major expansion came and I backed off . . . I love hockey, I love Olympic hockey . . . I'm just wishy washy when it comes to teams. As well, I loved Hasek so I loved the Wings.
