Hello all.

this is the third time i have tried to do this. little did i know that the only picture that i have is too big to be sent. so nothing got sent.
i usually don't run into that problem of people or computers telling me it is "too big" but hey i will take it where i can get it.

i really just wanted to say hi to everyone. i have know about pixies for quite some time and have just now had the courage to become a member.

so hope to hear from pixies pals.

If your picture file is too big to send to Pixies Place, there is a fantastic freeware graphics viewing and editing program called IrfanView that you can download for free (as in freeware) at several software sites on the net.

If I understand the rules, we're not supposed to post full URL addresses here, but I bet you know the initials for World Wide Web and the last part of the IrfanView home site address is: irfanview.com

The last part of the internet address for the US download site is:

I have found it very easy to reduce file sizes using IrfanView by either cropping the image closer or simply reducing the numbers of pixels. It actually does just about everything many programs costing up to $100 US can do. It is by far the best freeware graphics program I have encountered in 9 years on the net.
