Thanks IowaMan and Oldfart, I will be ok. It is bitter sweet and I am glad she doesn't have to suffer any more but on the other hand I wish I still had her around.

I am sad because I narrowly missed an earlier flight that would have gotten me home by dinnertime.

Sorry to hear that.
But I have to admit...now I'm sad that I missed the chance to see osuche running through the airport like OJ, leaping over luggage, breasts moving about, mmmmmmm .

Complete surrender should not just come at moments in which one faces overwhelming odds, but in the calm when it seems one is personally in complete control of one's life.

that I only have 40 hours of vacation instead of 80, I get 80 next August when I hit my 3 year mark, cause I could use a week off soon if we had help that would stay around.

We've just had Sister Helen Prejean, played excellently by Susan Sarandon in Dead Man Walking.
Agree or disagree, she's an amazing woman.

I'm on page 700 of James Clavell's Shogun and today, Iowaman ruined the ending for me.
He told me "the butler did it".

Almost, but not quite right.
As he was a contract worker under the Hong Kong labour laws of the 1960s, it was more a case of "The Major-domo did it".
