The hotel room was pitch black and Lynne, as usual, had trouble sleeping in new surroundings, not to mention, with a new man. The typical hotel noises woke her up several times, keeping her feeling edgy and disrupting her sleep. Once she even heard the door knob of the room being twisted but she chalked it up to her overactive imagination and snuggled back against Sam even closer, drifting finally into a deep sleep. As the sun peeked through the curtains Lynne lazily debated raising her arm to shield her sleepy eyes from the intruding sun. That was when she realized her arm was draped over a man.
