It was actually one of the scariest things I've ever seen. It was a former co-worker and we were out having dinner before going to a ballgame. Leonard was just sitting there and all of a sudden he just sort of lost his balance and nearly fell out of his chair. His speech was slurred, but I don't think he realized it.

This was back in the mid-90's before everyone always had a cell phone with them so I grabbed a waitress and told her to call 9-1-1. I'm just glad it happened when it did because if it would've been at the ballgame, I probably would've just cut him off from the beer and taken him home. Since he hadn't had a single drop to drink it was pretty obvious something was terribly wrong. Not a night I will ever forget, that's for sure.
