As the ship began to fill with people, she decided to stop feeling sorry for herself. After all that terrible war was over, life would be good again. She was sure of it. Looking around she watched families with children in tow struggling to get thru the throngs of passengers, and had to smile as one father tried so hard to get his daughter's hands off the railing where she clung, screaming to the heavens. She looked down at all the people yet to board and noticed one handsome gentleman in a hat and overcoat. Yes, perhaps this would be just the trip to begin life anew.
