A noise in the woods caught his attention. He turned back to the sure and thought he saw a shape move in the woods. He pulled out his rifle and went in for a closer look. He got to the spot where he thought he saw whatever it was and found nothing. He thought he’d better radio back to base to pick up on the news. He walked back up to the cabin he was staying at and carefully closed all the doors and bolted them shut. He turned on the TV and found that more attacks had happened around his area. He radioed base camp immediately to inform them he may have encountered the culprit. Base told him to wait and not to go out until daylight and they’d have reinforcements on route to rendezvous the next day. Geoff usually paid attention but he just had a strong urge to go outside and find whatever was out there. It seemed so familiar to him. He decided to get some rest so he retired to the back bedroom. It was only 22:00h but he thought he could use the rest for hunting tomorrow. He striped down to nothing, it was the only way he could sleep. He couldn’t help the feeling of being watched but he still decided to just go to bed.
