DECISIONS
I shower and prepare myself for you
Anticipating tomorrow
I sleep restlessly,
dreaming of the pleasures in store.
(Can I possibly need you more?)
I awake lighthearted and eager.
Choosing my clothes to accomodate your touch.
(I want you so much!)
On my way to you,
My body already displaying telltale signs.
Just a few more miles - I'm nearly there!
(Oh! The pleasure we'll share!)
My phone rings,
My heart leaps to hear your voice!
OH NO! A change in plans, another opportunity wasted!
(My disappointment so bitter I can taste it!)
So often our plans have gone wrong.
Is my love strong enough to endure?
My feelings and emotions fight an internal war
(What do I torture myself like this for?)
Can I, should I go on?
How much more must we tolerate?
Will we ever be able to fully and completely love each other?
(I can't wait much longer, my dearest lover!)
