December Space News

Busy this time around.
Artemis has completed its first departure burn from the moon. A second burn will occur tomorrow, and splashdown is set for 11 December: https://www.space.com/news/live/nasa...ission-updates The mission has been a major success after the long-delayed launch, but at somewhat of a cost. NASA's Deep Space Tracking Network has almost all been devoted to Artemis, limiting communications to other projects, like JWST: https://www.space.com/james-webb-spa...communications

And I missed a 7-hour spacewalk by ISS Astronauts, this to install new solar array for the station. You can still probably watch the VOD on NASA TV: https://www.space.com/nasa-spacewalk...mber-3-webcast

And speaking of Space Stations, the construction of China's Tiangong station is proceeding well. The latest construction crew is set to return to earth today: https://www.space.com/china-shenzhou...epart-tiangong
