Public Enemies with Johnny Depp

Anyone else see this 1930's era about John Dillenger the bank robber?

Wife and I saw it today and I was pretty impressed with Depp's acting and the faithfulness of the story to what I understand transpired in hunt for JD. A lot of killing but it somehow didn't come across as being gory (I really don't like gore).

Good movie IMHO (and my wife's, too! :) )

I want to see this movie very much badly. Looks damn good.

The story of the rise and fall of John Dillenger has been told many times over the years. First one I recall was Yong John Dillenger with Nick Adams in the leading roll, and the last one I saw was Warren Oats playing the part. To be certain,I don't think either story was true to the facts. Lets hope Johnny Depp brings a lttle reality to the story. Always enjoyed the story of Bonnie and Clyde. As good as Warren Beatty was in the movie, the key to the real enjoyment of the movie was Faye Dunnaway. YUMMMMM! Now there is a hot babe.

I went to see this movie on opening day, being a Balehead and all. :)

I had been looking forward to this movie for about a year now, and it lived up to my expectations. I thought that both Christian Bale and Johnny Depp put in good performances, and the movie didn't lack suspense though I knew the ending. The cinematography in the beginning was a little rough, but it was much better as it went along. All in all, very good, I gave it 8/10 on IMDb.

I liked the cinematography of it. Reminded me of "Road To Perdition".
