Playboy unveils all nude TV news and weather

LOS ANGELES: Saucy US television channel Playboy TV looked set to corner the US news market this weekend with the launch of a novel programme format in which the female presenters strip naked while reading the news and weather.
The three newsreaders on the adult entertainment station will "deliver the news, weather and entertainment reports while provocatively disrobing" during the 15-minute broadcasts to air three times a weekend," Playboy said.
"I read the newspaper nude every day," said anchor Kitt Pomidoro. "This just seemed to be a natural progression," she added of the show, dubbed 'The Weekend Flash', that can be seen in the 20 million US households that receive the cable Playboy TV channel.
The Playboy channel is part of the network launched by the founder of the world's first girlie magazine, Playboy, launched by tycoon Hugh Hefner nearly 50 years ago.
