OOC (Out of Character): Greetings. Thank you for taking the time to peek into my little corner of the Interactive Stories Board. Since this is, indeed, an "interactive story" board, I would love for other role players to hop in and join! I do ask, though, that you post a small bio for your character, and read my first post here to get a general idea of what this story is about. All are welcome. Thank you. Have fun!

Cierra:

Cierra yawned as she flipped her arm over to expose her watch's face on the underside of her wrist. It was only 11:45 at night. That meant she still had over five hours left on her shift before she could go home.

Great, she thought to herself. It had been an unusually slow Friday night at the adult bookstore she worked at. Slow nights made for long nights. Long nights made for boring nights. And, boring nights made Cierra sleepy.

Cierra yawned once again as she heard the bells on the store's front door jingle. "I.D.," she said, more as a demand than a request.

The two young men grumbled on the other side of the counter as they fished through wallets and pockets for their I.D.s, the first one slapping his hard on the glass top. The second young man politely handed his I.D. to Cierra with a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

Cierra smiled to herself as she watched the first man. It was obvious he was still upset about having to present his I.D. She barely looked at the cards before giving them back to the men. "Thank you," she said, and then pretended to busy herself with the few papers on the counter.

"When's the show?" the politer of the two men asked as he stuffed his wallet back into his back pocket.

"Show?" Cierra repeated in a question.

The first of the two men jabbed his buddy in the side with his elbow as he replied, "Yeah".

"I don't know anything about a show," Cierra answered. "This is just your average, everyday, run-of-the-mill porn store. If there is such a thing, anyway."

"Thanks anyway," the first man said quickly. He tugged on his friend's sleeve and they moved to the opposite corner of the counter.

Cierra shrugged her shoulders and pulled her notebook back up from behind the counter.
